Overview of Asthma-Natural remedies

Asthma:

also known as “Swas Roga,” is described as a respiratory disorder characterised by the obstruction of airflow in the lungs due to the aggravation of the Vata and Kapha doshas. It manifests as recurrent episodes of wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and coughing.Accordingly to Ayurveda, Swas Roga occurs due to the imbalance of Prana Vayu (the life force governing respiration) and the accumulation of Ama (toxins) in the respiratory system. Triggers for asthma attacks in Ayurveda include exposure to cold, damp weather, allergens, stress, and dietary factors.Treatment in Ayurveda aims to pacify the aggravated doshas, expel toxins, strengthen the respiratory system, and also restore balance to the body through herbal remedies, dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, and specific breathing exercises.
